Elizabeth Young-Ortiz joins Alaska Serenity Clinic as a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience in multiple states supporting people of all ages in community mental health, hospitals, schools, and the court system. Elizabeth is grounded in her belief in people’s ability to not just survive hard things, but to thrive through them. She loves accompanying people on that journey to thriving and getting to see all they can become. She brings to her practice her authenticity, sense of humor, honesty, and ability to carry difficulty and happiness at the same time.
Elizabeth has called Alaska home since 2017 and loves Alaska’s natural beauty and the genuine kindness of our people. She enjoys raising her children and houseplants.
Work Experience
Elizabeth has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, and Polyvagal Theory. Elizabeth especially enjoys working with neurodivergent people, parents, people with chronic health conditions, women, LGBTQ people, immigrants and their descendants, people with trauma, and people in life transitions. She is currently accepting clients ages 17+.
