Amanda is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). She completed her Bachelors in Psychology and Neuroscience from Salve Regina University. She went on to complete her Masters in Social Work at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Amanda has worked many years in both community and home based settings as well as in schools. Most recently, Amanda worked at Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge, Massachusetts on the Adolescent Assessment Unit. She is experienced in working with adolescents and adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, and suicidality, as well as those with personality disorders. Amanda specializes in trauma informed therapy and is trained in Internal Family Systems. Additionally, she utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Solutions Focused Therapy. Amanda hopes to honor each person's internal strength and acknowledge their resilience while also providing a space for healing and growing.
