Emily grew up in Cincinnati, OH before joining the United States Air Force as a Mental Health Technician. During her 11 years of service is where she fell in love with the mental health field, earning a Bachelor of Science in Social Psychology in 2015 and a Master of Social Work from Simmons University in 2018. Emily practiced internationally while living in Europe and Asia before finally calling Alaska home, in 2024.
Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with training and experience in the following types of Evidence-Based Therapy: Trauma Focused, DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, Attachment-Based, IFS, Somatic approaches, Motivation Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Client-Centered, Safety Planning, Crisis Management, Group Therapy, Substance Abuse Treatment and Family Therapy.
Emily is passionate about assisting individuals as they identify and navigate barriers and challenges that may prevent them from getting the most out of life. Her time spent as part of a mobile crisis response team responding to community situations opened her eyes to how different perspectives and backgrounds can cultivate misunderstandings.
When she’s not working, Emily is a loving wife to a soldier and mother to a human and a Great Dane. She enjoys camping, true crime, and supporting her loved ones hobbies and interests.
