Megan Lang is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
Megan was born and raised in Washington State. She graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications before moving to Alaska in her 20s. Once established in Anchorage, Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Alaska, Anchorage, and after two decades of practicing as a nurse, Megan returned to school to earn a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Gonzaga University focusing on psychiatrist mental health.
Megan has spent 20 years working as a nurse in Anchorage largely serving the Native Alaskan community as a home health care nurse for Southcentral Foundation and as an orthopedic case manager for Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. Megan has always been intrigued by the role mental wellness plays in positive health outcomes for patients. This interest, combined with her background in communication, motivated her to return to school to focus on psychiatric mental health.
When she’s not working, Megan loves to run, hike or ski, devour podcasts and books on therapy-related topics, and spend time with family and friends.
