A graduate of the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work & Berea College, Elizabeth has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, Play Therapy, and Polyvagal Theory. Elizabeth especially enjoys working with neurodivergent people of all ages, parents, people with chronic health conditions, women, LGBTQ people, immigrants and their descendants, people with trauma, and people in life transitions. She is currently accepting clients ages 8+.
Elizabeth is a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience supporting people of all ages. As a clinician at Southcentral Foundation, Elizabeth provided therapy to people receiving psychiatric care for complex mental illness and trauma. At Providence, Elizabeth was an integrated therapist at an elementary school supporting students and their families; before that, supporting patients through physical illness and healthcare system navigation. Elizabeth made Alaska her home in 2017 after she worked supporting community efforts around civil rights litigation in Alabama, built systems of support and treatment for people with mental illness and substance use disorder as alternatives to jail time in Kentucky, and supported children in high conflict custody cases in Seattle.
Elizabeth is grounded in her belief in people’s ability to not just survive hard things, but to thrive through them. She loves accompanying people on the journey to thriving and getting to see all they can become. She brings to her practice her authenticity, sense of humor, honesty, and ability to carry difficulty and happiness at the same time. When she’s not at work, Elizabeth enjoys raising her children and houseplants.
