
Dr. Zack Brenes is a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PsyD) who graduated with his doctorate in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University with a concentration in Health and Primary Care Psychology. He completed his undergraduate degree at Walla Walla University where he studied History and Spanish.

Dr. Brenes has spent his career working within integrated healthcare settings, providing therapy alongside medical teams to treat the whole person. He completed his doctoral internship at Providence Family Medicine through the Alaska Psychology Internship Consortium, where he worked with patients across the lifespan, providing brief interventions, crisis support, and therapy for anxiety, depression, substance use, and chronic illness. His training also includes work at Federally Qualified Health Centers serving diverse and underserved communities, using an integrated, whole-person approach to care. He continues this work at Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center, where he has been since 2024. Dr. Brenes primarily works with adults, and his areas of focus are the treatment of anxiety and depression, ADHD, adjustment and health related stress, along with trauma work. Dr. Brenes values building genuine connection with every client, believing therapy to work best as a true partnership — one where clients feel heard, respected, and equipped with practical tools for lasting change.
